As women and new moms, we often find ourselves juggling a million things at once while trying to navigate the beautiful chaos of newborn life. Today we're here to share some fun and informative tips to help you survive those tough nights and navigate through the three-month fog. And who better to give us advice than our very own founder, Hannah Reid, who recently welcomed her adorable baby, Marley Mae Reid, into the world two weeks ago.
Check out her TOP FIVE TIPS below
1. Carve Out "Me Time": As a new mom, finding time for yourself might seem like an impossible task, but it's essential for your well-being. Even if it's just a 10-minute shower alone, take that time to recharge and rejuvenate. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup!
2. Embrace Outdoor Walks and Coffee: Getting out for a walk with your little one can work wonders for both of you. Fresh air, gentle exercise, and a change of scenery can do wonders for your mood. So grab that stroller, put on your comfiest shoes, and don't forget to bring your favourite coffee in hand. It's a simple pleasure that can make a big difference.
3. Quick and Nutritious Breakfasts with Good Mornings Smoothies: Mornings can be chaotic when you have a newborn, and preparing a nutritious breakfast often takes a backseat. That's where Good Mornings smoothies come to the rescue! They're quick, easy to make, and packed with essential nutrients to start your day off right. Fuel yourself with a delicious smoothie while attending to your little one's needs.
4. "You" Time: Once everyone is finally down for the night, it's time for some well-deserved relaxation. Hannahs favourite.... red wine and Survivor.
5. Say "Yes" to Help: As new moms, we often feel like we need to do it all. However, accepting help from friends and loved ones can be a game-changer. Don't hesitate to say "yes" when friends offer to drop off a meal or do a load of washing. This support not only lightens your load but also shows you're not alone on this journey.
Finding time for yourself, savouring outdoor walks, enjoying nutritious meals, indulging in personal relaxation, and accepting the support of loved ones—these are the pillars that can help us find balance and thrive amidst the beautiful chaos of early motherhood. Thanks Hannah for the chat and of course for the Marley Mae cuddles.
